My name is Shawn Fitzpatrick. I'm a telecommunications Engineer for the Alaska owned and operated General Communication Inc. (GCI)

I manage the Transport Engineering department for the Projects Engineering Group. I have been with GCI for nearly 15 years and have taken part in bringing leading edge communications technologies to nearly every part of Alaska and beyond. From my early days as a technician installing microwave and satellite systems in urban and rural areas in Alaska.....to today where our group and I are in the middle of implementing GCI's second undersea fiber optic cable system linking Alaska with the lower 48.

This site is mostly a test of my ability to waste time and upset my wife who beleives I spend way too much time fiddling with computers to start with. I've played with several authoring suites and am now trying Macromedia's Dreamweaver.

I am by no means a Webmaster nor do I claim any special artistic talent. So if you think I designed this site all by myself......think again.....It's just a canned Style Sheet site.

This site may not change often. As a matter of fact.....if it's anything like the last pages I wrote.....CSS will be a thing of the past long before I try something new.
